Frequently asked questions

1. We’re based in the Bridgend area, can you visit our premises?
Yes – before we take new clients on-board we spend time assessing their existing system and requirements. We then come up with a bespoke solution.

2. We want to switch to SCG Wales – can we keep our phone numbers and how easy is it?
Switching to us is easy, as our team can either re-use your existing equipment or install new hardware. You own your phone numbers and, because we have porting arrangements with 98% of UK carriers, switching is easy.

3. Does it take long to get your systems installed?
Smaller, less complex, systems can be set up within one working day. But this also depends on your requirements, and usually multi-site businesses require more time.

4. We’re expanding our premises, how easy is it to scale up your systems?
If you have a multi-site operation we would recommend private or public-based cloud service as it will ensure you have complete scalability. Alternatively, if you have a hardware-based system we can create IP links between the sites to allow for inter-site calls.

Bridgend

Bridgend is a town in South Wales. It has a population of 49,404.

During the 15th century, a stone bridge was built to connect permanently each side of the River Ogmore, which gave the town its name.

The Industrial Revolution would have a massive impact on the town. The first coal mining operations opened north of Bridgend in the 17th century, with the Llynfi Valley being the first to be industrialised. Bridgend itself never had coal deposits and remained a market town for some time, but the valleys of the three rivers grew into an important part of the South Wales coalfields.

In the new millennium, EU Objective 1 investment in regeneration and public realm improvements have led to the pedestrianisation of the town centre and the restoration of several historic buildings. A good telecommunication infrastructure is important for encouraging new investment in the town.

We can also help your business with business phone line installation, broadband installation and business mobile contracts.
