Friday 6th April marks 11 years in business for DataKom.

The company was set up in 2007 by Managing Director Jay Ball who, then aged just 21 sold his motorbike to finance its start-up costs.

The business is headquartered at Bocam Park in Bridgend, and also has offices in Bristol and Aberystwyth. The company has seen considerable growth – beginning with a team of just 2 expanding to over 35 in 2018.

Managing Director, Jay Ball comments:

“DataKom’s come a long way since 2007 when I set out on this journey and singlehandedly went door to door hunting for customers.

“Since then we’ve seen continually reinvested, driven substantial growth and developed our offering to grow the customer base. The company has been through a lot of change – office moves, technology changes and different business challenges – but we’ve established ourselves as one of the fastest growing telecom companies in Wales.”

“We continually invest in our employee’s skills and development to ensure that our customers receive only the best level of service at all times. We have encouraged several members of DataKom to undertake qualifications in order to improve the service they provide to customers as well as develop personal growth.”

“I would like to say a huge thank you to our customers, partners and all the team at DataKom who contribute to our continued success. Eleven years in business is a huge achievement!”

DataKom’s objective is to be a 100% cloud-based phone system provider by 2025. The company have recently celebrated 1000 users joining the KloudPBX platform so far this year.
