DataKom are pleased to announce that three members of the team are braving this year’s race – Craig and Ashley will be taking part to raise money for Age Concern Morgannwg.

The guys have been training hard to ensure they get a record time – to show our support we are looking for sponsors who are willing to donate to their chosen case.

About the charity

Age Connects Morgannwg is a charity that cares for older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil. They work to ensure that those who are vulnerable and are at risk are kept safe. By empowering older people to be heard, to have a choice and control, so they don’t feel isolated or discriminated against and that they receive the support and services they need. Their work is driven by what older people say and matters most to them, ensuring their voices are at the heart of all that they do.

To help support this cause and motivate Craig and Ashley donations are hugely appreciated – https://www.justgiving.com/Craig-Jones-Cardiff-Half-Marathon?utm_source=Whatsapp

Craig’s comments

I have always loved a challenge, and pushing myself physically and mentally to levels I never thought I could achieve.

Being a complete novice to marathons, going in hand with the very little training I have put towards this marathon – I will make sure I don’t let myself or the charity down!

Ashley’s comments

I signed up to the Cardiff half marathon about 3 weeks ago – I believe I am fit enough to run long distances… but I have never run as far as a half marathon!

I haven’t trained as much I would like, as I have only made the decision to do the run vey recently. However, I am looking forward to the challenge and testing myself on such short notice.
