DataKom invest in technical team skills with advanced qualifications

DataKom is pleased to announce that four members of its Technical Department have achieved advanced qualifications.

The telecoms company are passionate about encouraging continual learning and development for all members of the company.

The qualifications identify individuals who have enhanced knowledge in modern cabling solutions and the essential leadership skills required to educate new team members as the business continues to grow.

Excel accreditation

Cabling Engineer, Carl Davies has recently passed the Excel accreditation after extensive training and an exam process. Six members of the Technical Team now hold this accreditation.

The Excel certification surpasses industry standard qualifications for the installation of modern cabling products in any business premise. Those who hold the status of ‘Excel Cabling Partner’ are recognised as experienced providers of the design, installation and testing of the entire range of Excel cabling solutions.

Excel has transformed the structured cabling and rack markets, setting new standards in product choice, performance, flexible service, support and availability. Since its launch in 1997, Excel has grown to become an award-winning brand sold in over 70 countries.

Educ8 leadership and management

Three members of the Technical Department completed leadership and management qualifications. The Educ8 Group is a provider of training and development programmes to a wide range of businesses.

Technical Support Advisor, Laurie Atherton has completed a Foundation Diploma in Team Leading. Laurie has learnt how to manage personal performance and development, communicate work-related information, lead and manage a team, the principles of team-leading and understanding business.

Advanced Engineers, Barry McFarlane and Jonathan Davies completed the Higher Apprenticeship in Leadership & Management. This course develops the skills acquired in the Team Leading Foundation Diploma to a senior level.
